DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITY OF PA (SO SUMMARY)
(Duty Hours – 08.00 to 12.00 hrs and 15.00 to 18.00 hrs)
1. To attend the office punctually and put
his signature on Attendance Register in the presence of Postmaster.
2 He will perform all the duties of PA
(Sub Account and SO Summary).
(Ch.10
of Postal Manual Vol.VI Part-II)
3. To be responsible for maintenance of
his system and secrecy of his own password.
4. To change his password at frequent
intervals.
5.
To have adequate knowledge of computer and software to make best
utilization of
provision made
in hardware and software.
6. To be
familiar with Meghdoot (Sub Accountant) as well as with the following packages-
(i) Meghdoot (Point of sale) Module
(ii) Meghdoot (Postman) Module
(iii) Treasury Module
(iv) Sanchay Post Module
7. To operate
Meghdoot (Sub Account and Treasury) module.
8. To generate
SO Summary electronically.
9. To do all duties of PA (SO Summary) in
respect of writing of SO Summary and checking of SO Daily Account received from
all SOs/EDSOs under account jurisdiction of Bhagalpur HO. (Rule-632 of Postal Manual Vol.VI
Part-III)
10. To put up SO Summary to APM (Sub
Account)/PM for checking and necessary action.
11. To maintain SPM’s Monthly Reports, ECB
Memo. and keep watch over on receipts of ECB Memo. and put up the same to the
APM (Sub Account)/PM for review and forward them to Divisional Office.
12. To check the amount in transit with
SOs/EDSOs.
13. To be responsible for upkeep of records
of his branch.
14. To submit returns through APM/PM timely.
15 To add a new temporary column to the
list of transaction whenever a new service is introduced.
16. To make data entry using the following
option-
(i) SO
Saving Bank Part-I (SB) and Part-II (Other than SB)
(ii)
SO other transaction.
17. To go the data entry Menu and make
corrections, if required.
18. To take print out of-
(i) SO
Summary SB
(ii) SO
Summary General
(iii) SO Summary Transit
(iv) SO
Summary Advance
19. To do all other duties of PA as and when
directed by the Postmaster/Superintendent of Post Offices.
